Tranquilo Bay is an owner-operated upscale adventure lodge located on Isla Bastimentos, Bocas del Toro, Panama. We specialize in all-inclusive adventure eco tours and rejuvenation. Our excursions are designed to explore the islands, highlands and protected areas of western Panama, focusing on ecological, historical and cultural discovery. Our secluded facility was designed to remove you from pressures of the real world and to comfortably immerse you in one of the most biologically diverse places on the planet.

Tranquilo Bay is adjacent to Bastimentos National Marine Park. We have over a kilometer of Caribbean coastline covered in coral gardens teaming with tropical fish. Our facilities encompass over 110 acres and three ecosystems, with over a mile of hiking trails full of wildlife. At least 75% of the acreage has been left to evolve in its natural state. Extreme biodiversity of flora and fauna, tropical rainforest, primary growth mangrove forest, incredible coral reef, and the Caribbean Sea are here for your on-site exploration.

The main lodge is built on a hill overlooking the rainforest canopy and the Caribbean Sea. From the wrap around veranda, wildlife viewing for tropical birds, sloths, white-faced capuchins, and reptiles can be quite rewarding. The spacious dining room and bar are covered in beautiful tropical hardwood finishes; vaulted cedar ceilings, exposed trusses, and warm locally crafted tropical furnishings. The library has an extensive collection of reference books, classic literature, popular titles, tropical favorites, and DVD movies. Six deluxe air-conditioned cabanas with incredible views are spaced throughout the property. Four of the cabanas have stunning ocean views, and two have jungle canopy views. Our cabanas are appointed with one queen size bed or two double beds, orthopedic mattresses, tile floors, vaulted wood ceilings, locally crafted tropical hardwood furnishings, big bathrooms, granite countertops and walk in showers with glass blocks.

With our all-inclusive packages, everything is taken care of for you – ground transportation in Panama City, transportation between Bocas Town and Tranquilo Bay, accommodations, great food and drink, and a variety of activities including nature hiking, beaches, kayaking, fishing, skin diving, surfing, and cultural exchange.
